If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I am thinking about upgrading front calipers on my GS1150, I understand that a 91 GSX R calipers will bolt right on with some small improvisation does anyone have any knowledge of this or other calipers that work well??

I put a set of Nissin four pot calipers from a GSXR750 on my 1150 last winter. It was a very easy swap.

- The calipers bolt right on. No washers are needed to adjust their position towards the discs.
- I bought a new set of brake pads, (non-sintered that are easy on the discs).
- The lower brake hoses needed to be a bit longer, so I invested in a set of braided ones.
- No need to change your master brake cylinder, (pot area on calipers are almost the same).

Braking performance are great and the feel in the handle is very nice. I can?t compare
this set up with the stock on though, as my old calipers wasn?t working as they were
supposed to anyway.

yeah I did the same swap, I believe my calipers were from a early bandit 1200, just bolt them on

Does anyone know if the front calipers from an '89 GSX-R 750 will bolt right up to an '85 GS1150ES? I know the 750 has 310mm rotors, the 1150 rotors are 275mm. I've got new EBC Pro Lite rotors, front and rear.
What about a rear caliper upgrade?
I'm getting real tired of just trying to even find parts for my stock calipers.
Thanks, Greg B.
