Hello!
I recently did a little write-up on making a vinyl-cut emblem for the fork cover on my GS850G. It's over on my website: https://blog.bityard.net/articles/2022/June/diy-vinyl-cut-motorcycle-emblem
For the impatient, the short version is:
1. Buy decent-ish fork cover
2. Clean it up
3. Measure/design in Inkscape
4. Cut design on vinyl cutter
5. Apply carefuling
6. Seal with lacquer
I produced these in a big batch (because I make lots of mistakes, all the time) and have quite a few extras.
As far as I know, these fit the fork covers for 1982-1982 GS850G and GS1100G. Maybe others, I don't know. They measure 5 7/8 inches at the widest point near the bottom.
