As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Greetings again,

Right now I have a 130\90-16 on there but I'm considering buyng...
"Dunlop back tire, D401, 130/90B16 M/C tubeless" from a local seller and would like to know if it will fit on my bike because it has the "B" in it.
The "B" is a speed rating right? Is that okay for this bike?

Also, what other size options do I have?

Thank you,
Dm of mD

Speed

Hey, DM, the Dunlop D401 is a Harley-Davidson series tire and is speed rated at "H" (130MPH). The "B" on the designation stands for "blackwall". It is a good tire for your bike...My bike is essentially the same as yours and I'm running the GT501's (also Dunlop) and have had very good luck with them! :!:

I have been using Dunlop's new GT501's now since last year. They replaced the K591 which I used before and I have to tell you I love them! They work great on these older vintage sport bikes.

I now have them on front and back of both my GS1000 and my KZ550.

They rock! I highly recommend this tire for these old jap bikes. And Joe gives them to me for darn near cost :)

It cost me $127.00 to get both of my spoked rims trued/tuned and a new tire on the front and he charged me $234.00 to put new GT501's on both front and back of my KZ550. So I have new shoes on both bikes plus mounting balancing and rim truing all for well under 4 bills. I don't know how he makes any money?

Me too, Mark...the GT501's are the best tires I've ever used although I think all the Dunlops are quite good.

Okay, thanks. I'm taking notes. I will buy Dunlop GT501's when the rubber I just bought runs out. I'll have enough money for a new one by then lol...
