I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I'm putting a widened rear wheel (5 3/4") on an 83 1100e. The wheel seems to be offset about 5/8" to the right. I've got a 5/8" spacer for the cush drive and a 5/8" offset sprocket for the front. Everything lines up good with stock wheel, but not with widened wheel. I've done alot of measuring and the wheel seems to have had the same amount of widening added to each side of the wheel. The wheel was supposed to be an 83 wheel, but I noticed that the wheel had an original width of 3.5", I thought 83 E wheels were 2.5". The brake rotor seems to be spaced outward further than my stock wheel. This wheel was made by a guy in Wisconsin, named Dale Scnieder. I guess my question is, is the wheel supposed to be offset to the right for some reason? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Jon

You have an 85 1150 rear wheel. You just need to figure out the spacers & you will be good. Keep the rear wheel centered though!!
Ray.

Do you have a widened 3.5" 1150 Wheel (i.e one that is widened to 5 3/4")? If so that is going to be a tight fit in a stock frame. Are you sure it is not 5 1/2" that would make more sense. If you ask how I would measure, I would put an 5.5" wheel next to it.

5 3/4" measured from inside bead to inside bead without tire on rim. Rear swingarm has been stretched 3 1/2 inches. Do you know of anyone that will widened a stock wheel, for a reasonable price? Thanks for info, guys.

Thanks for info

5/8" offset is the typical counter sprocket offset for a 5.5" rear wheel conversion.

Obviously the wheel should stay on centerline, so the hub must be shifted to the left which in this case needs to be about 5/8".
