A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Wiring in turn signal blinker relay

Okay, I have been slowly working my way through the spiders nest of bad wiring. Got brakelight, tail-light and plate light to all work fine. Now I have the original turn signal blinker and a wiring diagram but am stumped in that I cannot figure out how to wire it up. The back of the blinker has three posts, each labeled. One is L, then C, finally B. I am trying to figure out which terminal matches the diagram. Any suggestions? Thanks.

L is for "Load".
B is for "Battery".
C is for "Controller".

The B will connect to the supply wire from the fusebox, probably an orange wire with a green stripe.
The L will go to the turn signal switch, it is probably a light blue wire.
The C will go to the Turn Signal Control Unit, it might be a black wire with a blue stripe.

You can NOT go to Auto Zone or any other auto parts place and get a flasher that will plug directly in and maintain your self-cancelling turn signals. The "C" terminal is not found on ANY other flasher unit than one for a Suzuki. Not sure if it's unique to the GS line, I have not worked on anything newer than a GS. There are ways to bypass the self-cancelling unit which will require you to turn off your signals manually, but save that for a last resort. Use the auto feature, if it still works.

Thank you. The blinker I got is OEM and tested so I don't figure on any problem. Your insight is greatly appreciated, and I am trying to bting her back to as close to stock as possible.
