A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Still hadn't arrived at the customer's address as of couple days ago.

Been at the post office in Canada since Jan 24 I think.

Huh, I refuse to have anyone ship my stuff other than USPS/Canada Post. I think I've used 'em all at one time or another and I've always had the best results with those guys.

I find USPS and Canada Post to be the only reliable and not overly expensive way to ship from the States. Slow but it always gets here. On a couple of occassions I have had stuff checked by customs and that seems to add about a week more to it.

On the other hand, shipping in Canada can be a royal pain, even within the province. Last year I had a letter (with payment for an E-bay purchase) take almost 5 weeks to go 130km. Needless to say that caused some problems between me and the seller. Another time it took about 3 weeks to get a box from Toronto to me in Hamilton ( 45 minutes away).

Anyway, it beats the hell out of paying shipping costs and then another $40 or so for "document delivery to Canada customs" that the UPS theives tack on.

Cheers all,
Spyug.

Sadly, Canada Post (or Canadian Customs) are some of the slowest poeple to move packages.

We ship all over the world - proportionally Canada has the largest percentage of packages going missing, getting damaged, or getting delayed. It doesn't make much sense as Canada is only a couple of hours from us - but still most customers in Australia and Europe get their packages before our Canadian customers do. Just over the past couple of months we've had two packages go missing, two get damaged, and several take 3+ weeks to arrive. Only Italy and Brazil take longer for packages to arrive.

HEY JEFF!:-D

Once again, I really appreciate your awesome help with my missing chain/link/spacers.:-D

I didn't realize it was a family business.
I went to school with a Steve Saunders. Neat coincidence.

The business continues to grow - there are 5 full-time and 2-3 part-time employees now - and we've moved and expanded a couple of times in the last 2 years. We currently own a 10,000 sq ft old industrial building - using about 6,000 sq ft of it for office and warehouse space, with the rest needing some serious remediation before we can take advantage of the space.

Steve is my son, and he's worked full-time for Z1 Ent for nearly 3 years.

As you can imaging we don't like shipping items out a second time, so we do package for the parts to survive the journey - but sometimes the post office and UPS conspire to destroy whatever you do...

Cool, looks like I've already got a great lead of parts for the Z-1.......just picked up a 74 model and will be surely needing parts for the resto!
