Great source for flywheel pullers

I need a flywheel puller for my '83 GS1100 and have been having some difficulty finding the right puller. There are two possible sizes for this bike as Suzuki changed the size in mid-production. There is a 35mm X 1.5 and a 30mm X 1.5. The size on my bike, 30mm, seems to be the harder size to find. I checked BikeBandit, Z1 Enterprises, Motion Pro, Parts-N More, and Parts Fish with not much luck. Either they did not have the correct size or the size wasn't listed. I did some Google searching and found this place: http://pitposse.stores.yahoo.net/index.html

They had an extensive selection of pullers with detailed descriptions. Their prices were as good or better as anywhere else I found as well. The puller I needed was $25.95 with $7.95 shipping and the puller is supposed to be in stock. I'll post more when I receive the puller.

Some further info: I had emailed a couple other places, including Motion Pro, regarding availability of the puller I need. I got a reply from Motion Pro saying they did not make the puller I need but to check with this place: http://www.dssalesusa.net/ as they specialize in pullers. I checked their website and the descriptions and part numbers look exactly like what I ordered from PitPosse. The nice thing is that they have a catalog with pics of all the pullers in PDF format that you can download and save for future reference.

Now, Brian ... if you were REAL good you'd not only have a bike that required the exact same puller Joe ordered, but you'd wait for him to finish with it so that you could borrow it and split the cost!! Are you THAT good??#-o;-)

Alas, my GS850 requires a completely different puller. The grasshopper shall take a slightly different path than the Master.

Apparently, it's the same one used by a bunch of Honda dirt bikes -- basically, a big hardened bolt with a 14mmX1.5mm thread.

I ended up ordering it from repairmannuals.com last night because it was slightly cheaper than the others and they had it in stock. Repairmanuals.com, denniskirk.com, and pitposse.com all sell the same line of Stubblefield pullers, but repairmanuals.com lists stocking status, and the total with shipping was about two bucks less.

Dennis Kirk was the only one that listed the GS850 at all, and that listing was completely wrong. Good thing they provide detailed specs.

Update 3/3/07:

Got the puller Friday, looks nicely made. Definitely acceptable shipping time. I'm not going to pull the rotor until I get my starter clutch rebuild parts......
