    McMaster-Carr

    I'm stunned !!!

I ordered a package of 10 - 8mm x 35mm ss socket heads for my exhaust yesterday morning. $17.70 delivered to my work. $1.77 per bolt, decent price. They emailed me the confirmation at 8:36am, yesterday.

I got the friggin bolts this afternoon !!!!!

    Stunned........and impressed !!

I have probably 20 orders from them. Every single one of them was shipped the day I ordered, received the next day, and everything labeled and organized and bagged and numbered. They just don't screw up, ever. And their web site--all the technical specs you might ever want about anything.

I am in Industrial Procurement at a Factory and they can't be beat on inventory availability or fast shipping. The knock on them is that they don't give discounts, Period. The price You paid for the bolts is the same for a Multi National corporation. They are good and keep a huge inventory. I am in Kentucky and Usually get next day delivery from them at ground rates.

2001 KLR650 too pretty to get dirty

Life is a balancing act, enjoy every day, "later" will come sooner than you think. Denying yourself joy now betting you will have health and money to enjoy life later is a bad bet.

          Oh man.....Not McMaster Carr???
I got to be careful around them. Man, it gets to be dead winter and I can go friggin nuts with them. Sure they have almost everything you could want or need and you get it the next day in 95% of my many many orders through them.
I can have my purchase taken out thru payroll.
I'm just glad they don't sell "motorcycle parts/accessories".
I wouldn't be able to afford to eat anymore.
Check them out but be very careful......
McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

True. I had that happen once. I went to the local Fastenal store, who supplies us at work, got the exact screws I needed, that night and with a discount.
If anyone needs the allen screws for GS1100ED carb bowls and upper lid, let me know. I have a few

Much love for McMaster-Carr here, too.

I always get my stuff next day from their warehouse near Chicago to me in Indianapolis. Their shipping charges are very reasonable, too.

I think there was one time when the warehouse in Chicago didn't have something or other, so it shipped from another warehouse and took an extra day to get to me. All with full communication and tracking.

Part of what I do at work is build web sites, and I am in awe of theirs. Absolutely amazing. The only gripe I have is that there are many times that it would be far better to see a picture of something than a drawing or diagram.

If you've been to my garage, you've seen my far-too-complete collection of stainless steel metric hardware, almost all from McMaster-Carr.

On a related note, another good source for stainless goodies is: http://boltdepot.com

They also ship fast (although delivery is not next day for me in Indy), and they have the advantage of allowing you to order whatever quantity you want -- McMaster only sells fasteners in packs of certain quantities.

When I was in Seattle I got a package from them, from California, the next day at ground rates. I don't know how they do it. Suzuki there took a week from California and quite a bit longer from anywhere else.

I am a Maint. Mechanic for a company here in central PA that produces library supplies/ furniture. We almost always get our stuff from McMaster-Carr next day and sometimes we can place an order in the morning and I swear its here that afternoon. They really get me out of a bind sometimes when a machine goes down and I need parts quick. I'd even go as far to say they can get me stuff quicker then the local distributors seem to be able to.
