One of a kind rat bike with custom trailer
Base bike is a 1982 Suzuki GS550. I forget the year, it might be a 1981. The bike is fully street legal with title and valid tags. The bike is very ugly and very experienced. It is perfect for crashing those Harley & BMW rallies. In fact this bike was raced at the Salem Indoor Flat Track Series.

Key Features:
? 1967 Dodge Speedometer
? Deer skull with 1968 Dodge marker lights
? Animal skin decor with a genuine skunk hide for a seat cover.
? Real wild turkey wings on tank.
? CR high-bend handle bars with Cowboy boot wind guards
? Rear fender is skid plat off a 2003 XR650R

I just don't get the Rat Bike thing. What am I missing or can anyone shed a little light on the WHY, to such a crap heap?

1.)It makes it hard for the cops to check the VIN.
2.) The use of animal hides works for the " I break for animals " crowd, since they don't seem to notice motorcycles.
3.) It's a great anti theft device.
4.) Replacing roadkill is cheaper than vintage UJM parts.
5.) The ladies apparently like them.
6.) Never a need to repaint.(see #4)
7.) A good way to **** P.I.T.A. members off.
8.) If your a hunter, you can blend in with the herd.
9.) He always wanted to study taxidermy, but couldn't pass the entrance exam.
10.) He helped re-elect Obama and has nothing better to do with all the free time till the next election.

Ignoring the hack job for a minute, just looking at the bike itself - How much cleaner Suzuki handled the integration of the shaft drive on our G-series machines. That's one fugly setup on the Honda......

They are simply rotated up at the head. They are stock pipes that actually blend in nicely to the bikes lines when not turned up by some mouth breather.

I have a pair of GL 500's (in pieces ) and they are a fun and torque y little monster. Liquid cooled twin and build for the 100,000 mile club.
