Pittsburgh World of Wheels is actually a big event in the city's convention center.

      AAAWWW.

      I hadn't noticed that.

But just now I noticed the tube on the right side of the fuel tank. I think it's a "Sight gauge". A transparent tube (Perhaps glass) in a brass outer sleeve so you can see the level of fuel in the tank.

Don't fall on the right side. You might rip it out and start a fire.

        We can dream can't we?

I bet the JB weld holding it on breaks first.

The "swingarm" rear wheel axle holders/chain adjusters(?) appear to be fabricated from 2" EMT LB conduit bodies...

So much easier than installing a fuel gauge or an odometer.

                First things first.
                1. $12,000 might be an OK price for a CBX in pristine condition, but ...
                2. That bike needs a paint job, some powder coating of some frame pieces and new wheels.

It also needs an enclosed trailer (driven under cover of darkness) to transport it from wherever it is now to a rented garage, where it can be stripped down to address its needs. I would not want to be caught with that in MY garage.

What? How could you dismantle an "Internationally famous bike" some people have weird ideas for bikes.

They like it really well in Morgantown, NC. That thing is never ridden, either.

It would be dismantled so it could be restored to its original beauty, then re-assembled.

Yes, his idea for a bike was truly weird.
