My ride home yesterday from the container to the compound
Ride home about 17:00 local time yesterday in Juba South Sudan.
Bike is a Chinese 250 'enduro' type. Had a 150 that I rode from here to Kampala but then found one of the few 250s.
Motorcycles here are a way of life and not simply a past time.
(hope this works - initial attempt)Comment

That's just mad! All that congested traffic and having to weave your way through.
I guess you get used to it doing it every day but I think I'd go nuts and have to go looking for some clear windy mountain roads real fast...Comment

I literally dream of rides in the mountains. I didn't mention that the road I was on was some of the very little pavement in the whole country.
I'll take another video on a really congested day. Madness!Comment

Now have some of my sons pictures.
Us about to depart from their place.
Me and 82 1100GK.
Son & DIL and 08 Truimph Tiger 1050 (pretty much same engine as Speed Triple).

Road east of Orleans.

Old brick kilns, a bit off the road, between Orleans and Salem.
Is about 5 of them, some more intact than others, about 30ft in diameter. Can walk into one of them.

IN135. Departing from Story.

Us at the Rosemount in Bedford.

Son & I at MotoGP on Friday, day of practice runs.
Food prices were fairly reasonable. Grilled meat on a stick for $7.

Will also post some pictures of the racing on the MotoGP posting in Meetingplace.Last edited by Redman; 08-29-2013, 09:00 PM.Bikes
