Got out for a while today. Had to pick up brake pads for the car, so I took the bike. Im still bumming a bit that I didn't get to enjoy last week's unusually warm weather, but today was still enjoyable. This will likey be my last ride for a while. My tires are shot to the point that road grooves cause the bike to wander like a drunken street walker- tires are Christmas listed.. Also my fork seals are leaking, and I need to pull the fairing off to weld on the fairing mounting boss that broke off on my recent trip.

Dave, your sunsets are still over the lake, lovely. Way south here, it's over the land.
When I see this, I hear a lonely Beach Boys song in my head, about the end of summer.

I did. This is where they did some of Depp's Lone Ranger movie filming.

And 10 min from the red rocks I am at the base of the mountains for a quickie 25 mile loop up at around 6000 feet, above the 4500 ft Moab area, but under all the snow at 8500-10500 ft where tons of unbelievable single track summer dirt biking lies.

The weather is changing around here. Was 3C this morning, wet and damp. Figured the perfect day to hit the dirt!

Only out for a few hours but had a great time getting wet, dirty and tired there was even a point where I smelled mud burning on the header and I was instantly taken back to when I was just a kid on my XR200.
