Not sure but I'll check. Supposed to be walking dogs and I'm still screwing around... Bike can wait a minute. Thanks for the input though.Originally posted by Redman View Postyou have a stock type R/R,... or one with a sense wire? If the sence wire came loose in tip over, or if the circuit it is connected to has lost power, then the R/R will put out everything it can. (had that happen, in rain storm, 250 miles from home)
.
Say, haven't seen your GK in a while. Is it still around?
I have a scratch on my shin from something is all, so I'm fine.Originally posted by Jedz123 View Post

Wished you had asked me about that road, I could have forewarned ya, at least you didn't get hurt and the bike is fine.Originally posted by Burque73 View PostGorminrider, I have an AGM sealed battery as Mr Pilot mentioned. Its odd that an hour before this spill the engine started as it always had. I was prepared for electrical repairs, but only in Ideal conditions. Blowing dirt, fading daylight, and exhaustion set in. Tow home, deal with it later!sigpicMrBill Been a GSR member on and off since April 2002

Yeah, it would have been wise to seek your input for sure! I sent you a text message from the VLA saying I was headed toward Magdelana, then North toward Grants. I didn't however mention which road I was taking, partly because I was just not sure at that point. Anyway, thanks and I will definitely ask you about the roads down South next time!Originally posted by mrbill5491 View PostWished you had asked me about that road, I could have forewarned ya, at least you didn't get hurt and the bike is fine.

Nice! We used to love hanging out watching planes. After 9/11 the area around the airport was harder to access. Seems really odd to see an elevation only 490 feet. Like a few numbers fell off of the sign. We're sitting over 5000 feet here.Originally posted by Jedz123 View PostWatched a plane come in... Nice to relax, 25 years ago my Dad and I use to hangout and watch the planes come in.
The TUX is running like a champ!
Might hit 50' this week!!!Roger

You're both sky high! The field elevation at our international airport is only 64 feet... and the float base is considerably lower than that.Originally posted by Burque73 View PostNice! I'm in the Champlain Valley some of the lowest spots in Vermont, but 5000 feet is really high!!!! Our highest peak (Mt Mansfield) is 4400' the. The mean altitude of the state is about 1000' Your up there... Another reason why I need to come out and visit!!!Originally posted by Burque73 View PostNice! New Mexico ranges in elevation quite a bit, about two vertical miles difference actually. Low under 3k and high above 13k. I'm just amazed at the wide range in scenery from flat grasslands to parched desert with cacti and mesquite. Rolling hills and lakes to jagged mountains, volcanoes and just an array of gorgeous colors. One thing I'd suggest is to grab a Butler map so you don't wind up in BFNM praying for a cellphone signal to blow in on the next breeze so you can call a rescue vehicle!Roger

I spent some time there some years ago. Found it a bit amusing that, on the drive up to the slopes for some skiing, I drove past kids outside playing in nice summer weather.Originally posted by Burque73 View PostNew Mexico ranges in elevation quite a bit, about two vertical miles difference actually.
