Ah ok it's not just here then! Yes, nothing wrong with bikes that aren't seen often, and in that regard I guess the new Katana experience is similar to the old Katana experience I had two separate Katana conversations when making a detour from my Saturday ride home the other day in addition to a fella in a BMW cage pointing at it and giving me a thumbs up.

Wow I knew the Kats weren't quite as popular in the US but that's surprising! I figured there'd at least be a few out and about at times.

I've seen two in my life. One was at a bike night in town about 15 years ago.. Didn't see its owner.

The other was owned by the same guy I bought my ES from. It was not for sale. That was the one he was keeping after a clean out.

There was a fellow NJ member here years ago called Zim. I think he had a Kat, but sold it and moved on to H-Ds.

Very nice indeed! Is that one of those southern hemisphere paint jobs? Love it!

                    Afterdarkmark,

                    That's a fine looking machine!

The colors remind me of 2BRacing's faired bike in South Africa.

                      Nice. Really nice.
                      Nice pics of great bike.

                      1980 I would say. Maybe 81, but 80 signals.

Paint scheme and the chrome front fender caught my attention too.

And the "sunny" also caught my attention.
(Yesterday, here, maybe for 30 minutes the overcast thinned out just enough so I could tell which direction the sun was.)

I'm not a shaft guy or an 850 guy, but your bike is PROPER! No bags, or bells and whistles, no back rests or footrests - just a motorcycle. Very, very nice.

Wanted to get a short ride in today before more nasty weather. About half an hour, enough to validate my recent work making the front wheel tubeless like it was meant to be and a new(used/EBay) speedo drive is functioning properly. Everything checked out Ok. Was a a brisk 40 deg. But it was a beautiful afternoon.
