Stator finally got to see the 450 last night, although not for the fun of riding! Dropped a cylinder on the way home from work so he decided to lend a hand fixing it... and of course it had already fixed itself when I was diagnosing it

I get a lot of comments on my pipe and Stator is no exception! I had to avoid photographing him for a couple of minutes as this is a G rated forum...

He was thinking the pillion seat might be comfy...

But would really prefer to be up front giving his best bad biker snarl...

And I had to discourage him from attempting any stunting antics. Over here in the police state of Qld he'd be behind bars in no time!

Hahaha every time I turn around he's got a beer in his hand! He's gonna be an expensive little bugger!

He's been grumbling at me since he arrived to get out for a ride, doesn't seem to grasp the concept of needing to work

He did get our mail the other day and gave me a much awaited item:

But the highlight of the week was me arriving home with the new Avon Roadriders on because he knows it means I can riiiiiiiiide!

I've heard of tyre kickers but never of tyre huggers...

I should be getting him out for some two wheeled action on Saturday morning at this stage...

Has Stator been to a Strip Club yet? Now that would be fun! The girls would love him.

Good photos Pete. Good to see that you are keeping him busy. Can you get a photo of Stator with those Surfers Paradise meter maids? Show the rest of the world how parking wardens should be dressed.

Hahaha the meter maids are a little out of my jurisdiction I'm afraid, don't get down the coast much! As for a strip club... might pass on that one

On Friday the little bugger forced me to put the tank bag on the 450 and let him sleep in it overnight so I didn't forget to take him on Saturday... as luck had it I was able to get out for a shortish ride

He had a sit on Derek's slightly modified Kat...

                And Reg's hot rod Kat...

And yes he certainly does charm the ladies! The lady at the cafe was quite taken with the little fella (and yes that is a Katana Qld shirt she is wearing)...

He enjoyed his breakfast and even chatted up the chick... en...

And naturally he enjoyed the view...

Hopefully I can round a few more up for next Saturday and the adventures of Stator can continue...

Hahaha funny you should say that! That ones a SH775... but yesterday he did get to meet his namesake as well...

The new R/R didn't fix the issue but I wanted to upgrade anyway so it's not wasted...

And then Stator was panicking last night as my starter motor died trying to leave work... so he convinced me to spend $$$ and get it fixed by an auto electrician today as no Suzuki parts were available in Brissie and I'd have to wait until Monday... meaning Stator would've missed his last opportunity to go riding before going up north to see Simon.

He was suitably impressed when I arrived back with the sorted starter this avo'...

He's ecstatic now that the 450 starts again and charges again

Well after my electrical fun last week it was great to get Stator out for his last ride in Brissie here before I ship him up to Simon for his trip to the US.

I joined the Katana guys' usual Saturday morning meet up and it turned out we had 8 bikes all up including 4 Kats which was nice... usually there's only a few.

For the Kat riders we had Reg on his hot rod '82 1100, Derek on his "750"... not quite stock, Jesse on his 1100, and Ben joined us for the first time on his modified 1100 that he has just gotten registered. Looks a little different with Kawasaki running gear!

And for the non-Kat riders we had Derek generously loaning his not quite stock GSX1100 to John for the day, Brian on his modern GSXR750, my mate Todd from work on his big Beemer, and of course me on my wee 450.

Now firstly, we cannot show you this man's face because he is a... dentist (???!!!)... and I asked no questions... Stator might be a little sensitive when he arrives Simon!

We invaded the IGA carpark at Cashmere for the start, Stator sitting on my 450 in the background there... turns out I was pretty slack at getting Stator front and centre for the pic's!

And Ben arrived just after the Stator shots:

We then had an awesome ride up some of our favourite back roads to Mt Mee.

This is my second ride with the Avon RoadRiders and after following the advice of Reg and Derek last weekend and dropping the pressures to 32psi front and rear, they are even better again! I have never felt like I've had that much grip before up those roads, and they get quite tight and twisty!

We had our usual brekky stop at the Pitstop Cafe and got a few more shots in, with Stator opting to weigh down Dereks' lightened "750"...

So there you go, Stator's had some great fun riding around Brissie as well as working on the 450, so once I get his travel log up to date I can send him on up to Simon some time this week so he's there in plenty of time to head over to the US.
