Scanning craigslist I saw a 82 750T

But I don't remember what makes it a T.

It's not a shaftie, and it looks a lot like an L but toned down a bit.

I think it's Suzuki's attempt at making a British influenced bike. They have a Triumph look to me, especially the 550T.

It was sort of a "commuter" bike. Smaller tank, single front disc, fewer farkles, mostly to keep the weight down. Also had slightly taller drive ratio (usually one or two fewer teeth on the rear sprocket) to help with fuel mileage for commuting. Same engine, same suspension, just as capable as any other GS, just filling a different niche.

For some reason they only have a single disk on the front brake for the 450T, 550T and 750T. Oddly they did not make a 650. Nice styling on the 750' it is on my to buy and restore list.

It's just like a standard GS but toned down a bit as you said.
I had a GS550T and the only problem I had with it was the small gas tank, needed to refuel every 90 miles. That got annoying.

There's one 2,500 miles away from you, 90 miles south of Columbus OH. Looks pretty, I think. I like the red and black.

My old 550T was a wonderful bike. Like a cross between an L and E model. Not a stripper and it had a disc rear brake.

This 750T in Ohio is a nice bike ... looks well looked after. Bit pricey but if it has had everything taken care of it may be worth it as you won't be working on it or pouring money in to repairs/upgrades. And thanks Kerrfunk - I will wait for once closer to home and besides at the moment I need to sell at least one or maybe two before I got for another "new to me" bike to work on. The paint on this one looks great, almost too good to be original?
