Only that I enjoyed this challenge. Getting things just right like the distance between the plastic sheeting, the bike and the halogen work lamp while finding a focal point to show the entire bike. Most other, if not all other photos I've submitted, were taken just because there was something interesting to photograph.
My wife took the pic for this week, standing on a ladder in front of our driveway. I chose to leave the entire photo without cropping it. I did take bunches of pics before my wife came out. Here's one of those cropped down a bit.

I was comparing some pics from the Cannon EOS Rebel T6 that I'm "borrowing" from my dad to the pics from my three year old camera phone. Some pics have a profound difference and others look very similar in quality. The camera has a telephoto lens that the phone cannot compare to. I found that walking far away and zooming in absolutely transforms the photo.
Here are two example pics. first the phone, then the Cannon. Look what happens, especially to the mountains. In the second pic here I walked back away from the bike a couple hundred feet and zoomed in.

THere is a term for that (that I have long forgotten). I found that is a good way to have things in the midground (bike, sign) look closer to the background.
And is a good way to select what you want to be in the background (mountain), which I think is the big difference in your example here.
I suspect you might like using the tele more.
THat was "a couple hundred feet", from the bike and sign? The is quite a tele.Last edited by Redman; 03-23-2019, 09:59 PM.http://webpages.charter.net/ddvrnr/GS850_1100_Emblems.jpg

The term for that is compression. The telephoto pulls the objects in the distance visually closer to the foreground and all the phones do, except for maybe some newer ones is just crop the imageTHere is a term for that (that I have long forgotten).
