Hello Folks. Could someone give me details of best and cheapest company to buy some carb inlet rubbers for a 1979 gs850gn american import . it has the slide carbs and there are 2 pieces to the inlet rubbers. 1 attaches to cylinder and the other attaches to the carb and they attach to each other. ive tried several places so far without luck. thanks in advance. I live in the uk.

The boots are one piece other than a large O-ring is needed to affect a seal. PIPE,INTAKE 13110-49000
    Expensive parts, but necessary.

Cruzinimage sell them too, for cheap. I'm not sure about quality but worth a try...https://www.ebay.com/itm/1979-SUZUKI...T/162544645216

Sounds like your boots have completely separated. As mentioned, they are one piece with the rubber being molded to the metal base.

If they're in bad shape it's possible the ones on the other side of the carbs are too. I fiddled around with old boots, head side and airbox side, as well as stretched out clamps, for months. It wasn't until all eight boots were replaced along with new clamps that I got a steady idle. In that time the headers started to change color too.

I recently installed a set of the Cruznimage boots and they appeared to be high quality. Many others here have been satisfied as well.

Replace the old carb to airbox boots too.

The ones I used were shipped directly from Japan, complete with cool Japanese newspaper wrappings. Didn't take to long to get to the US. Not sure whether ordering from or shipping to the UK would be a problem. You might have to look for the company on eBay or some other source.
