Oh yeah, Now I remember, there is a guy over there making and selling an alum. trip reset knob for the CB1100F's. Exact size, shape, color, and mounted with the orig. screw. I'd been looking for OEM or just something that would work for yrs. but there were just none to be found. Found his over there for $45. Met up with Lee today and we pulled te engine from a Cooley and broke it down to the crankshaft in preperation for a full rebuild. Ill have him over again when reassembly begins. Then once the engines back in the frame he is gonna bring his engine over and were opening it up to see why its puking oil out the front of the head gasket seam. Chuck was a great host. Really appreciate taking the time to show me the tear down process. Not as intimidating as previously thought now but still a lot of small parts to keep track of. Hopefully have the top end squared away in a few months with Chuck’s assistance. Should have the GS back on the road this summer after 17 years of storage.Comment

Here are all four looking good on a warm day. The GS finished up last November and just rolled over 30K this morning. Couldn’t have done the engine without out Chuck’s help…great guy.

Welcome back and congratulations on retirement, thanks for your service also. I hope the snail's pace I am restoring at doesn't last that long but at 50 with a 3,7- and 24-year-old who is 10 to 24 maturity wise due to special needs I don't have much time. these children are a blessing, don't get me wrong but I have to work after they go to bed.Comment
