Hello all , glad to be here . Im the recent buyer of a 1986 GS 850 which was in a poor state but all there . Totally stripped the frame and repainted , im just in the process of getting all the parts back on the bike . You will be glad to know the bike will be restored to standard and not chopped up into a bobber .
Reading through some of the posts im finding it very useful for reference . Hardest part for me was sorting the wiring harness birds nest but all done .
An old timer here and have owned many bikes from the 80s onwards but prefer the bikes of the 80s . Next on the list is to pull the dent from the tank and respray in the original black .
