    New from uk

Hello all , glad to be here . Im the recent buyer of a 1986 GS 850 which was in a poor state but all there . Totally stripped the frame and repainted , im just in the process of getting all the parts back on the bike . You will be glad to know the bike will be restored to standard and not chopped up into a bobber .
Reading through some of the posts im finding it very useful for reference . Hardest part for me was sorting the wiring harness birds nest but all done .
An old timer here and have owned many bikes from the 80s onwards but prefer the bikes of the 80s . Next on the list is to pull the dent from the tank and respray in the original black .

Welcome to the site, from another UK member. Where are you in UK? I am down south in not so sunny Plymouth.

Welcome steve, sounds you've got a good start on a good project. I don't know how much you've read around here but pictures are "almost" required, especially beginning and ending.... will be watching for updates.

Well, Got home from church, this morning and picked up my old flip phone from the bar. The back just fell off, didn't drop it or hit it on anything, it just fell off. I can't get it to snap back on, it's like some kind of tab, or catch has broke off, not sure yet. I'm gonn'a get somebody to look at it for me. If I've got to get a new phone I may get the new type and try to figure how to send pictures. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the welcome . Well the rear master cylinder pushrod thingy had seized solid so i bathed the begger in ATF for a few days . It came free with a bit of light tapping and the bore wasnt that bad but cleaned it all up ready for the new pushrod and seals Quite surprised the old seals were intact
