    Hello from San Francisco guys!

    IMG_1459.jpg

Just wanted to post a picture of my bike and get myself out there! I previously made a post but it didn't have a picture of my GS so wanted people to see her in all her glory!

A generic term for the hand guards on the handlebars.
Don't often see them on street bikes.

What part of The City do you live in? (disclaimer-lived at about a dozen addresses there, 1969 thru 1980, East Bay afterwards)

Oh, man, our last address there was 2632 Great Highway! Never should have left, save for the birth of a daughter and granddaughter-

It seems to me that having your handlebars hit a mirror on a car while passing it, and with there being far more cars that have mirrors that are fixed in position than those with flexible-mount mirrors, it is more than a bit likely to cause loss of control of your bike

                      Second
If someone is riding that close to other vehicles that the risk of injury to your hands, as well as the risk of losing control of the bike, are already-known factors (presumably due to experience) then that someone doing this is NOT a safe rider.

                      EDIT.....
And what about the inevitable paint and/or structural damage that is caused to the mirror(s) when handlebars hit them?
