OK so the bike has been with me for a week now, and after the initial euphoria I took off the rose coloured glasses and had a closer look.
Well, the bike is definitely original.... apart from most NIS screws in the engine being replaced with SS socket heads. The tank is also original, and has a couple of small dents and a few chips which have been touched up with the wrong colour!
I don't think the handlebars are stock, so I'll look for some which have a higher "rise", close to stock.
The sump pan drain plug is definitely NOT stock! Needed A 24mm socket to undo, then found it was a long bolt with an extra nut screwed onto it to ensure it didn't go too far into the oil pan! Sheesh! It was weeping a tad, so fixed that until I get a replacement pan.
Other than that, the bike runs very well indeed!

    More pics soon!
    Cheers, Andy

Gotta love PO "modifications"... that sump plug's a beauty! Sounds like she's survived pretty well though, good to hear!
