    I haven't tried any brake mods yet, but having to ride modern sport bikes at work and being able to practically do a stoppie with two fingers and then getting on these old bikes and have to grab a whole hand full and wished I had more, makes me want to think harder about it. If you talk to the PO again, could you ask what the discs and calipers came off of? They look like aftermarket rotors, maybe EBC.

            that whole front end is done, not just the brakes...edit: I see it is an 1150 front end, didn't realize how beefy they look! .nice score!

                Now this is strange..... the pictures you copied and pasted to the above showed up just fine all yesterday and most of today... now they are gone.... can you see them?

                    I know this is an old thread and I Pm'd Joe but would anybody know who makes the mounts he's using on this bike for the handlebars?
                    They look like a clip on mounted to the forks but allow a tube handlebar to bolt on?

                        I think he used a GS1150 front end. The GS1150's do have a clip-on bracket with a straight tube bar. The GS1150 has a taller rise than the GS1150ES. I'm not seeing the picture.

                            All the GS1150's I have seen have clip-ons either low or high?

                                AAAhhh now I see, Glad you pointed those out. I've not seen those before but a really good idea. They make way more options for the 1150's!

                                    Definitely an 1150 front end. Looks like aftermarket handlebar mounts were somehow added to the top clamp.
