Dirty, scratched up cases, damaged emblems and missing a head rubber pad.

I was pretty lucky with aesthetics on this last one. Yes it can be very much improved but here it is on pickup day

Of course .. it didnt run and I had to replace the petcock, shocks, springs, coils, starter, clean the gas tank, clean the carbs, replace the jets, Replace a tire, replace the ignition and so much more but .. it looked good!!

This is also the story of my 1983 GS850GL -
The guy I bought it from had it really shined up - but it didn't run
I have spent the past 4 years fixing everything mechanically and utilitarian -
Now I would get on it and ride across country -- tomorrow !
But the looks have changed a bit -- As purchased

Nice Jedz. I watched your youtube video on the build of the GS300. I don't mind the dents in the tank. For some reason they seem like they should be there.

We are working on two cafe builds.

                    A 1972 GT550 when I got the bike.

Motor should be done soon. (Those handlebars are just temporary.)

                    And a 1973 T500 when I got the bike.

Not very far on this build. Am using 1981 GS fork tube assemblies and a salty_monk twin-piston upgrade with an EBC MD1124LS rotor, which is 320mm. The gold center will match nicely with the tank badge and the planned gold tank/tail stripe.
