Truly a great person, and I remember his posts as helpful and no negative vibes.
Will be missed by many and loved by more.

I too have been looking thru past rally pics that I have, and did see George, and thought of how I enjoyed chatting with him, and had not seen him last few years at the BC rally. Did sit and chat with him at Brian's house the weekend of Indy MotoGP 2013.

He often wasn't the center of attention, but would make a comment that was either funny or filled in important info.
Seemed to be a friend to all. And respected by all.

None of my pics of George are of much interest.

      Here is some info

Ok I did a look through many years of photos from rallies and this was all I could find.

I never really noticed before that George was so dang camera-shy!

We've collectively sifted through hundreds, if not thousands of rally photos, and I'm starting to realize GB was very good at ducking out when a camera was around.

Just a small update: I just heard from George's family from Texas. They will be traveling to Indiana in March, and have asked us, his motorcycling "family", to assist them with spreading his ashes somewhere in Indiana he liked to ride. They're looking forward to meeting some of George's friends and swapping some George stories with us.

We've got a spot picked out along a lovely winding road in a state forest, and I'll update everyone with details once we know when George's family will be here. Obviously, you never know what the weather will be in March, but I'm hoping the weather will be good enough for some of us to ride and to have a nice little gathering in George's memory.

Ohhhh, my my my... I just ran across these photos.

A couple of years back, a "throwback" thread started up over in off-topic, where people were posting photos of themselves "back in the day". George came up with some photos of himself that were damaged and discolored, and I helped him out by scanning them in and doing some color correction.

Here's Mr. George Burroughs in 1974-75.

Yes, really. One of the long-haired freaky people...

I think George said that's an engineering textbook.

Wow Brian! Super cool photos!!! Ahh, to be young again...

Don't want to bring down this thread in any way but has there been any revelations about what happened to George? Did he have any children which survived him?
