Yup that was me on Cafe Racer Podcast, me and the rowdy Patreons that Crash and Steve invited us on for! Keep listening! It's a great show.

With Crash's deployment imminent I was told some of us guys on Slack would assist co-hosting on a few episodes, hoping to grab a seat for at least some of an episode!.. But Slack is infused with allot of Shenanigans so... I'm not going to hold my breath!

I will be hanging with Steve and the guys with Amen-Moto allot down there.

Its a great group of guys! Highly recommend becoming a supporter!

For those that don't know, do listen and watch:

Just got back from Florida . Rented a hardley in Ft Lauderdale and headed to Key West. The ride from lauderdale till you got off the mainland was mostly Florida turnpike and not really my kind of riding. Once you got off the mainland it became better but not really nice till about halfway down the keys. All flat straight, and as mentioned before alot of 45mph. It was something I always wanted to do, I am glad I did it, but probably won't do again. Would much rather ride Eli's Wyoming county or even though I've never been I'm sure I would like Vermont better. Highlight's included stopping at Alabama Jack's, and feeding Tarpon at Robbies. Had a beautiful stay at Villa Toscana Homestead. If anyone is ever in this area, I would definitely highly recommend this airbnb. It was beautiful and cheap. Looking forward to seeing your reviews after the trip!! Enjoy and stay safe!!!

I'm thinkig about heading to Florida in April to visit mom. She says be careful there's a bunch of old people down here from Ohio and Michigan that don't know how to drive! (moms 82, she doesn't consider herself old) Heck, I'm 53 and think I'm old. I gess you get younger as you get older? I'll be going to Fort Myers aria.(west coast). Hopefully I'll be between the snowbirds going north and the family vacationers coming south... It's all fun in the sun

sorry to jack the thread Jedz...

Yah, Jedz, They do stuff like change lanes without looking., or maybe did look but cant see, or maybe cant turn head enough....... but I experienced that more than once.

Or stuff like when they are turnining into a parking lot they turn in way wide into the other lane, maybe is too much effort to turn the steering wheel a little more.

Also a lot of tourist that are not familiar with the area, not knowing where they are going, and looking around, then abruptly stopp.... which can be a problem if you are following them and not knowing where you are going and are looking around.

Thanks All for the words of advise but I like to believe I safely put 25K miles on in a season for a reason. I'm very aware and defensive in my riding style and habit (although I do often post when I break the mold ;) ). I do MSF based courses every year to ensure my basic of skills are always sharp, although this trip will be before my first class which is on the weekend of the April 27th.

I will be with escort about 80% of the miles ridden so I'll be sure to be honed in on my riding partners.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to keep these pointers in mind.

Best,

When are you leaving Jedz? Wednesday? I can't wait for the stories and pictures!👍

I finish packing and load up tonight. I will be leaving Vermont at 2PM tomorrow after work and be driving as longs as I can straight down. My GPS is saying 19 hours and I'm going to factor in a few hours of sleep and traveling 10mph above the speed limit (except in VA where I will strictly abide to the speed limit). I should arrive around noonish in Port Orange Wednesday where I'll unload the bike and nap. Ride some Wednesday afternoon then get a good nights rest and hit the pavement hard Thursday. I'm booked with +300 miles rides every day. So Hoping to grab a few thousand miles by the time I head back North on 16th. Then a couple more weeks of winter crapyness and than hopefully I can start riding everyday.

Have a great trip! We'll hook up in April for some riding back here.

At work finishing some stuff up then I'm southern bound!

Looking forward to meeting up on Sunday! Details are still in the works for I'm working with my Grandparents still to finalize plans...

I'm sooo excited for nice warm riding weather!!!

FYI I woke to this and am SO glad that I'm leaving!!! Threw my neighbor a 30 rack of beer to plow out my fiance when I'm gone.

Tell us how many other H-Ds you see in trucks and on trailers and how many enclosded trailers with H-D emblems you see going south.

Wondering if you got south before the storms there on east coast.

Unloaded the bike and... Dead. The Harley was dead on arrival. No power to the ECU, only some of the lights were working...

4 hours later after the 20 hour drive:

Burned out main harness, to popped relays and and an issue with the main switch... Some hot-wiring and switch repair and the bike is running... I'll be going for a good ride. to the Yamaha dealer!

harleys, lol....that's why they should come with a trailer...good to see you made it safely!
