    TRO.bike "777" Tour (7 Riders, 7 States, 7 Days)

    Hi, all.

This is a commercial venture of sorts, one that's been rescheduled so as to not interfere with Brown County Rally dates.

If I'm lucky, those of you who've been on this tour before will chime in and vouch for its relentless onslaught of highly technical paved riding.

As I type this, there are two open spots. That'll likely change.

My own involvement is a little more complicated than usual. I'll be flying in, nabbing a buddy's steed and flogging it for the entire week. Point is, this tour is only "go" if it sells out.

With that, I invite you to read the deets, consider signing up and knowing that if you do and I don't know you, we're going to kick back and have a lengthy one-on-one discussion about what's really involved.

Here's hoping we can conjure this beast into a state of happening!

    Have at it ... https://tro.bike/events/group-motorc...art=1780099200

Another self-serving promo effort: we recorded a two-part podcast series where we invited riders who attended back in '24 to a round table discussion afterwards:

    Greetings, fellow vintage velocipedes!

Just bouncing this up to the top for a little more visibility, and hoping a few GSR peeps will get interested.

The 777 tour has been a bucket list item for me for a while, and I'm finally making it happen this year as a paying customer. So if my endorsement is worth anything, there you have it.

The quality of the curvery, scenery, and, lodging is first-rate, the route has been polished to absolute perfection, and overall Robin is running a thoroughly professional operation front to back. Your job is to eat, sleep, and ride; everything else is handled.

I've been on the "Truth or Consequences" tour twice in and over and through the Gila and Apache National Forests in New Mexico and Arizona and had a blast. Can't wait to indulge in the longer, greener version in Appalachia.

    Any questions? Post 'em here.

And if you're one of the several 777 alumni floating around here, post your stories!

I participated in the 777 ride in 2024.
I must say I was a little bit anxious about signing up.
Will I be able to keep up with the group?
      Seven days with seven guys?
      Will I feel welcome?
Well let me tell you. I had a fabulous time!
The hotel accommodations were top notch! (My favorite was the B&B in Cumberland Gap Tennessee) or maybe the room in Warm Springs Virginia!
The riding was great. Ride your own ride. No pressure to keep up.
Robin is such a great host, always asking "You okay" "Having fun"...

If my summer wasn't already booked up with my brother coming into town,(we're going to Maine this year)Id surely do the 777 ride it again.
      My Motorcycles:
22 Kawasaki Z900 RS (Candy Tone Blue)
22 BMW K1600GT (Probably been to a town near you)
82 1100e Drag Bike (needs race engine)
81 1100e Street Bike (with race engine)
      79 1000e (all original)
      82 850g (all original)
      80 KZ 650F (needs restored)

I think this will be my 5th year running doing this tour. The only way to not have a good time is to be the kind of person who is unable to have a good time. The only thing better than a long weekend riding with like-minded people at a rally is to do it for a solid week across several states of epically good riding. The only downside is that it's over so fast.
