So the training is going well. When asked how he wants something he says, " Now!". I am officially bad grandpa.

Well I thought I was being the smart ass but then the grand kid, his dad and I were all together and baby would not do the tricks I was teaching him nor would he do the tricks his dad was teaching him. Basically he does whatever makes the person he's with at the time happy. Which makes him smarter than all of us. Except of course his mommy. She is the boss and when she's around the rest of us are mere insignificant mortals.

Was going to a playground, mostly to get grandkids out the house to give gramma a break. Then diverted to go see the Lake and pier.

Did not go onto the pier far enough to get to open water. Did not go out on ice formations.
Has been a few such rescues in recent weeks.

I have gone out there many times before, but not going to with the kids, dont want to take any chance of having to explain that to their parents (and I have to live with thier gramma).

This one may turn out to be the gixxer punk grand kid. His first real ride on his Xmas present.

My 7 year old grandson is visiting for a few days. Today after I got home from work I asked if he'd like to walk the dogs or ride for a while with me. Sorry doggies, maybe tomorrow. Oh, he wanted to ride the red one this time.



We did a few passes so my wife could get her pictures then rode around for a half hour or so. Man, he's a wiggle worm! We need to work on having him stay put in the saddle. Good times though.

this kid is a beast. i think we walked about 1.5 miles total. i had the snowshoes on and he followed me. he's 2 and it's not gonna be long before he can out walk me i'm afraid. we're working on keeping track of where we are and how to find our way home cuz if he gets loose on his own who knows how far he'll go.

Had lunch with 3 year old (almost 4) grandkid.

I made some sketches on the take-home container.

I asked "Hey, Zoe, what is this?"

She says "A green S. That is for State, Michigan State."


So I made another sketch, and asked "And what is this?"

She looked for a while, and said,
"That is a blue H, just an H, a blue H, not for anything."

Time for new dentures? Omg look at those eyes.

She says "I went down driveway too fast, tried to turn and crashed my bike, smashed my face and tooff broke in pieces, it hurt, they pulled out the broke tooff, the other tooff was loose but they didnt pull out that one."

And this picture of her and me, from New Years Day 2015 (when her parents were in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl), kinda goes along with the story. Picture was meant to show the green & white MSU attire, but also goes along with your comment.

And, we all had tentative plans for similar this weekend (for her parents to be in San Antonio this weekend), but that didnt happen.
(but, ah, I will say this before someone else does: It did happen for those with the "blue-H-for-nothing". )
