My vote this week is for Burque73. We have a drive in theater here in Fort Worth that we go to frequently. We always smuggle in a cooler with some drinks and have a good time.Leave a comment:

We caught a spontaneous drive in movie on the GS a while back. The drive in was in Las Vegas, NM, nearly 150 miles from here. We grabbed a motel after the movie and added a few hundred more miles to the trip the next day.
The guy in the ticket booth was super cool. We chatted for a few minutes and he said just go on in, no charge.
It must have been twenty five years since either of us went to a drive in movie. Those little speakers we used to hang on the car windows are gone. Now it's broadcast over FM radio so we had our helmets with Sena units on the whole time. It rained on us so the helmets were kinda nice anyway, lol. There was a double feature of Godzilla and Shazam. Can't remember much of either of the movies, but we'll never forget the occasion.

The now razed Circus Drive In. The sign was fully functional until the end with its awesome neon and blinking bulbs.

Got this pic Monday.
Not a great photo, photographically.
First of all, too much parking lot in foreground that I often find as a detraction in photos. But in this case is on purpose.

Butch Beach Burrito in town here near the beach/pier (presently closed for the season).
When we moved here (1979) it was an A&W Root Beer drive-in, with the order-from-your-car menu and speaker at each parking space (or maybe every other parking space, so driver side one space and passenger side next space).
And they brought out your order and hung the tray on your car window/door.
Now Can somewhat see the base and the conduit of one of the menu/order/speaker stations making its presence known from under a layer of ashpalt there right next to the GK.
And, standing there, if then look around can see some of the others (to a lesser extent). So, I find that "historic".
Again, not that interesting of a photo to the observer.
But for me, this place brings up a memory, in that, when it was an A&W Drive In, we were there with our baby Justin, (so, 1980) and we bought a A&W Baby Mug. ANd we laughed about him not having a "silver spoon in his mouth", but, hey, now he has a A&W Baby Mug.
Seems like a minor thing to have remembered. Must have been the other occurance/situation of more significance at the time, like thinking of what the future holds for Baby Justin and us.

I don't have any drive in photos, can it be an old restaurant? If not, no worries.
Recovering from hacking off bone spur on heel/achilles surgery, so can't ride yet.
It's been 28 days & have to wear the dreaded plastic boot for 6 weeks.
