Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Turk, any explanation??? Only reasons I could think of for that bike on that rd would be accident or drunk... and hard to imagine an accident that bad.

.

You might try to crop out that sign and see what it looks like.

Yah, good idea, I didnt think of that.
that is an idea that would remove something that doesnt really support this weeks theme/topic. Good idea for trying to meet the theme/topic.

But, ah, I am not really trying to win.
haa haa

And, the sign was important that day for why I took the picture.

Turk, any explanation???

My friend was a ski racer, racing at White Pass Washington, home of the Mahre brothers.
The girlfriends at the time rode with my buddy/racer in a 1976.5 Volkswagen Bus, while I rode the 1980 GS750ET.
It belonged to buddies girlfriends brother previous.
I dated both of them one after the other, not at the same time. Then we all started hanging together.
The weather was dry on the way over, got a cabin, girlfriend had to lie to parents to come at all.

It was late April, I was in High School, so not a lot cash to spare, so I ended up riding up & down White Pass while was he was racing.

When we packed up to leave on the second day it started raining in Packwood, WA.
I was taking a photography class in school & thought this would be nice with the curve.

I encountered snow on the way home, obviously.

No alcohol involved, made it home with no spills.

OK, explanation accepted... It's just hard to imagine a street bike in those conditions without alcohol.

in the early 70s I rode year round, snow was easy stuff, ice was reallllly fun. Did manage to not crash and always made it to work.

Rich has nice pic. Maybe I like it because it similar to some I have, with snow bank on side of the road, except mine would have dry pavement.

Carter Tuck gets my vote, for the severity of my reaction to it. YIKES.
THat looks like wets slop snow that woud pretty much make ice when pressed under tires. I have gone the length in my driveway in conditions like that (to get to clear road), and going just the length of driveway I was doing most of it partly sideways with one foot as an outrigger.

All nice pics.. I'll vote Carter Turk also. I don't think I would want to drive that in a car!

Yep, Carter Turk for me too... Alcohol induced :very_drunk: or not he deserves my vote for just being there.
