I agree....it's only fair that if you are going to put in a photo, then you need to check to see who won.

Grabbed this one on my weekend ride, showcasing my passive reserve tank.
I would need to look for fuel around 150-180 miles and now it's more like 250-320 miles. I'm stopping becasue I want to, not becasue I need to.
It's still not the final product, working out some little kinks but it has dynamically changed my ride and saves allot of time.
          Best,

It’s my understanding that the photos used are to be already taken prior to the challenge, otherwise it is the riding game.

That's one way to do it. Many of us like to go for a ride with the theme in mind in case we come across something that fits. Or, often, I'll set something up to fit the theme. Helps keep the pics we post fresh and not recycling the same pics we've used in previous themes. Though we have to do that sometimes, too.

The riding game was fun...Sorry it died out some time ago...

                EDIT: Ended in 2019...

This was from Vancouver Island riders who got it from someone else it's a cool game.. Someone starts the game by posting a picture with the bike posed somewhere specific....the first to post a CLEAR picture ( we just want the bike but it's ok if you're in there too just don't block the bike) gets to choose the next now some

I've never heard nor saw anything mentioned about when picture was took... Long as you get it in, in time, thought all was good.

There's often been discussion in this thread about "this shouldn't be a tag/riding game". I don't really care what you call it. I participate to share what I hope others see as a good representation of the theme/and/or/ an image worthy of others' appreciation, regardless of when or under what conditions it was produced.

                      From page number one:

                      Bold added by me..

                      Rules:
                      1. Today is Saturday, I'll start with a theme.
                      2. Saturday to Thursday is submissions time. Everyone else can post one (and only one) picture that meets the theme.
                      3. Friday is voting day. Vote for the picture you like the most. You can vote even if you didn't participate with a pic during the week. (voting closes at midnight, Pacific time zone).
                      4. In case of a tie during the voting day, the first vote that breaks the tie the day after will decide the winner, unless of course one party wishes to concede to the other.
                      5. Saturday, the winner of the week posts a new theme using an example picture.
                      6. The example picture ALSO participates.
                      7. Any bike can participate... not only GS's (as long as it was yours when the pic was taken)
                      8. The date of the picture does not matter, or who took the pic. You can use new or old pics as long as you've got the bike in the pic (or as much of the bike as necessary for the theme) and they meet the week's theme.
Everything is cool...The "Riding Game" was over eight years ago.

P.S. I like it when folks go out and take new photos for the game...It's not easy, and I appreciate it...
