                  SU HIF 38 carb, Rootes / Hillman Avenger alloy manifold cut and shut to match the ports, alu flanges salvaged from used BS carb mounts and welded on.

                        I humbly accept, but must confess that I intended to mean the oil cooler itself, not the makeshift cardboard 'thermostat.'

                        An old and hackneyed theme from an old and hackneyed member. How about a pic with an animal and motorcycle(s) together? Extra points for a clever caption.

                          Rich no, sorry but my 2nd post wasn't meant as a vote, just a comment about Rob's side stand with the brick under it, from him it should be no surprise. Guess, from him, the cardboard thermostat shouldn't be a surprise neither.
