Smell it? Hell I did a 10 year sentence in the tech department of the local school district back in my young and stupid days. Had to fix those *@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$ing machines. LOL.

If I understand his comment right since I had a few tests like that, it’s more of the smell of the ink from the printers/copiers and not the questions themselves

Oh yes, actually it's a mimeograph, which I know quite well.

But I read the test and realized, I never read Great Expectations.
Spent most of my youth reading Clark, Asimov, and Heinlein, although I had a soft spot for Steinbeck and C.S. Forester.

It was for English Lit. Class in High School, not a book I would have chosen for myself but Mrs. Russell the teacher had lot of interesting insight into the characters and kept it interesting.

I don't recall what species that is, but we have them here as well. The dead leaves hang on for a good part of the winter and provide a nice soundtrack on windy winter nights.
