I think all photography is Art. like all forms, it can be good or bad or in between, and some become epics. They all tell a story, (like art does), for those who take them, but like those 2 with the fog they conjure up feelings that appeal to our flight or fight response and that causes our imagination to run wild.......great pics. So I live in a house owned by the church, and they literally built it like fifty years ago, and yeah, there was an intercom system.

It didn't work when I moved in, but there were receivers in each of the three bedrooms, plus one in the laundry room and one in the rec room.

I fiddled around with them a teeny bit but not very much, and I ended up removing all the hardware except the one in the kitchen.
I kind of plan on renovating the kitchen at some point, therefore I didn't bother removing the intercom thing. yet.

Woulda been cool to have it working.

Basswood for the carving artwork, beacuse of its light color, and/or maybe some characeristic for the carving ?

Although Basswood is technically considered a hardwood, it is still fairly soft in that it allows for easy carving with hand tools.
