From time to time the camera model comes into discusssion.... and some folks, what software they use.

Most of my shots posted here will be from camera. Most bike/roadside shots in other sections will be cell phone.

Saw this famous Tank Engine today, at a rest stop on his way to Baltimore to delight thousand of kids (and cause their parents to spend a bunch of cash). My boys were big fans (so was I). Took them both to see Thomas when they were 3 or 4. Had a real nice collection of wooden track and a bunch of Thomas’s friend too. Good to see him still making the rounds.

My older grandkids liked Thomas the train characters when they were little. The younger ones are more into monster trucks and anything that can connect to WiFi....

No wonder the birds out back go through so much food. They've got help.

Somewhere in internet land there is a meme with a similar picture saying something about Thomas being kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location....

ANd then not much yard work got done, if was like me doing yard work, and then noticed the wildflowers in woods behind fence and the overcast lighting. Got out macro lens (adapted, manaul) . . . but got not much worth showing.

                          Nice lizard shot.

Been quite quite a while since I posted a pier/beach photo. Have been going once a week or so. Sure was different the other day to be there in near 80 degrees temperatures instead of 18 or 28 or 38 degrees.

That day Had been mostly sunny all day, so thinking could be good sunset, then got overcast in evening, but I went for ride and swung by beach about 30 minutes before sunset. Heavy overcast, could not even see where sun was. But I walked to beach waters edge anyway. Then sun came out from behind darker clouds, and shining thru some overcast and made some color.

P1280446 by Dave Redman, on Flickr

And in about 2 minutes, sun faded away in overcast, no color art sunset time, no twilight color.

Goes to prove again, cant really predict the sunset, Just have to go there.
Doesnt take a lot of talent to get a fairly decent photo if its a good sunset, but do have to be there.

On the first pic, I did clean up (paint, net, clone paintbrush) a couple sensor dust spots, and rotate (1.5degrees) to get the horizon horizontal.
