Just got home from spending few days in Utah. Man, now the desert in New mexico seems really bland. Utah is gorgeous!

Thanks, Bob. I really wish I'd brought a real camera, but the four year old cellphone did an OK job.

If you've never been, I'd highly recommend a visit to Moab.

Just got back from a week of Boy Scout Camp with my younger son, his and my last. He will age out next June. Camp Rodney in North East, MD is in its 99th year of operation. I didn’t take the good camera but still have a few pics that I think are worth sharing.

First pic is from opening night campfire. Camp Rodney has a great stage for this, the backdrop being the sun setting over the Chesapeake Bay. Tuesday night’s storm felled a tree that took out the stage and lots of benches. Lots of damage all over camp but the amazing camp staff worked hard all night so that programming could continue as normal.


Tuesday after the storm. Like it never happened.

Great pics, captures the best of what Scout camp is about. Dad was an assistant leader of a Troop in the Early 1960's, I have a few memories of being around them.

Thanks. It's great getting out to these spots early in the season before schools are out and the masses show up. Most of the year it's pretty lonely around here ....just the way I like it.
