I stopped by my buddy Chuck's house yesterday. He gave me this cool LED light that he made. I found a good place for it. 👍

Cool! It kinda reminds me of the Rock Biter in The Neverending Story.

There's an owl that lives in a tall sycamore tree across the street. Last night we heard it's "hoo -hoo" call and tried to catch a pic of it, but to no avail. Too little light and poor photography skills, even with a DSLR camera. I went inside to get a tripod since the shutter was staying open so long and my wife gave up on the owl, turning to capture the nearly full moon. Just then, the owl flew right in front of her scaring the crap out of her.

                    Maybe this will help.

Do you have a suggestion for a new feature? How about a question for the Editors? Then put them here after reading the Announcements forum and the FAQ first.

Roger, night shots are touchy. I've spent considerable time with it. Its both infuriating, but wonderful when it works out. I love moonlight, and moon shots, but I try to add things besides just the moon for added interest. This was last night. Not great, but interesting enough in my opinion to share.

I think we're always a little too critical about our photos. Great shot Glen!

Thanks Sandy. I've come to notice that there are so many sunrise / sunset / moon pictures in circulation that its tough to make a standout image. Its fun trying though. And yes, I'm typically my worst critic. Recently I've been moving toward posting my pics without commentary and let them stand or flop on their own merit. I seem to have an atypical view on what's cool, interesting, etc.
