Great shot and amazing detail Bob. I just dug out a leftover Nikkor 70-300 ......still in the original box with it's plastic wrapper and receipt from 2003. LOL. Not sure that it ever got used as it was for my wife's system and she didn't like packing it around. Now ordering the adaptor.

Very nice, Scott. I like what you did with the shutter speed...
Right before sunrise, or just after sunset, are wonderful times to take photos.

I think it's a very cool picture too. Question, don't you need a Tripod when you slow the shutter speed down like that? Bob, do you use a Tripod when you take close up pictures? Very beautiful pictures guys, keep them coming.🙂

My first reaction is that I should just quit.

Norm, sometimes I do, but not for these. Shutter speeds were fast enough I didn't have to. DOF was very narrow though, and it is hard to see the focus point, so for every photo I would rock back and forth a few millimeters while snapping, to get various focal points. One of those above is actually a "stack" or composite of two shots, just to get the depth of field I needed.

Thank you. Norm, I used the tripod for that shot.

I think I should use it more...
