The lights and plate are mounted. The one that came with the lights was too short for the turnsignals to clear so I made a taller one. Also made it a little thicker.

Tonight was brake cleaning time and wow worse that I hoped for. It did clean up nicely and the pistons look great.

Owner brought the engine to me tonight so I had him help me set it in. The next picture is an example of the paint scheme red front and back and the silver sided tank.

Ordered a 3/8 offset sprocket today looks like it should be very close.

do you square the back wheel in relationship to the crank shaft?
                            ex:
35" center crank to center axle on both sides?

No I didn't just measure from swingarm pivot, but now that you said that it makes more sense will do that tomorrow. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Andy

                                How are things progressing?

My project is slow due to super cold weather but we are expecting warmer temps soon. The carbs and tank are sorted so at the first opportunity I'm going to get them back on and see if I can get this puppy to run. Once I have a running bike and warmer weather, I will go at it with a vengeance.

Hopefully you are still on target with this project. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

                                Cheers,
                                A
