Glen, I totally agree. Diamondback and Mongoose are super important to some of my best memories, and it is for that reason that I chose Diamondback once I found out what nice high end bikes they build (and at very good price points).

For mountain biking I picked up one of these last year and love it. Fits good, lots of ventilation, great visor that doesn't get in your way, reasonably light and with an adjustable back strap it doesn't move around when the going gets a bit rough. US pricing should be just north $100.00. I think it's pretty good value and performance for a relatively inexpensive helmet.

1) recumbent bikes are stupid looking. and stupid expensive.
