First run in over 8 years was flawless. Pulled 80 on the freeway like it was childs play. Very happy with how it turned out.

Gosh, I wish I had the ambition to do that stuff. Years past, I loved it but today I just can't get my head into it. Congrats, & keep it up.

Nice. Do you still have this one or did you pass it on to someone else?

Those are just cool bikes. They may not do anything exceptionally well, but they look and sound good-and they are a part of moto-history.

They are painted Rich. Just gotta find a hole to get the decals on and cleared. Weather here in OK broke and its been alligators up to the arm pits. Cant fix the bikes fast enough.....for them anyway. LOL

I also want to see the finished project, Chuck. I almost forgot you were even doing it. I started off reading the opening post and I have to say, stop worrying about the criticism from one member who takes pleasure in pushing your buttons. The rest of us look forward to your projects. I really enjoy your threads, and some of your techniques (like lighting a gas tank on fire) put a smile on my face. Keep up the good work, keep us entertained, and do what you do.

Put decals on the side covers today and adjusted the switch positions a bit. Then I invited a buddy that has the 79 XS1100 for a ride. We went to a place called POPS out on reoute 66 just east of Edmond OK. Its a popular bike stop and when we pulled in ( and i will swear to it in any court ) of the 50 or so folks mingling in the lot nearly every one watched as we found a parking spot. Such a satisfying moment to know we shocked the house.

Anyway, I will take some pics and post them even though the covers arent cleared over the decals yet. Put 80 miles on her today and she ran exceptionally. Love that growling pipe tone it has.

Declas made by a local company called Image 360. Need to be cleared still.
