    I've owned a couple of V-Rods.

    With the 1150, of course.

        They're both ugly as sin.
And for the record, the hard core Harley guys do not hate the vrod.
Most of me could care less.

The VROD is the only Harley I would consider owning too. It's just a shame they didn't go ALL OUT and make it faster than what it is. When a GS1000 or GS1100E can beat it at the drag strip, you know you've missed your mark. That episode of Pinks where the GS1100E beats the VROD and takes it home is CLASSIC!

            MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
            1978 GS 1000 E, 1979 GS 1000 S, 1973 Yamaha TX 750, 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650B1, 1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing, 1983 CB 650SC Nighthawk, 1972 Honda CB 350K4, 74 Honda CB550

NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Actually Chuck, that's a typo. It was supposed to say "most of em".

Have you seen one, and sat on one in person?

                  Which one?
I have never ridden the V-Max but I have sat on one. In my opinion the bike is too top heavy and bulky looking. They look like a giant insect.

The V-Rod I have ridden. My daughters boyfriend had one. It was ok. It's just ugly and not something I'd wanna ride for more than a few hours. Not comfortable at all.

That's not to say I wouldnt own either one of em. Just wouldnt go out of my way to do so.

The first time you get on a VMAX and the V-boost kicks in a 6K and almost rips your arms out of the socket, you'll change your mind. Only top heavy in parking lots and standing still, once you get em' going they're just like any other big 80's UJM, and you can upgrade the suspension front and rear with Progressives to make for a very comfortable ride. Try it, you'll like it!

If they could care less, that means they care.

Only thing I ever wanted to do with a V-Max was try and turn it into the Hardy Daytona from Final Fantasy VII.
