You think THAT'S ugly, check out the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701! At half the price I'd take one of those instead for off roading.
As to the H-D anything you do is going to tick off the purists so why worry. Big V-Twins are a dying market catering to a dying demographic, they should have started projects like this in the late 70's as far as I'm concerned. 32mpg is horrid in this day in age although I was somewhat surprised by the weight at only 560lbs. For $20k I'll take the Husky and a garage full of project bikes.1980 Yamaha XS1100G (Current bike)

LONG list of previous bikes not listed here.
I identify as a man but according to the label on a box of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four

And about $18K base price.
Add the luggage, spoke wheels and upgraded paint and it will easily be $35,000 to have one in the driveway.

Yeah, no thanks. Just like the big BMW "adventure" bikes, they really aren't for anything other than cruising around. I'll take a KLR with all the mods and no payment any day."Thought he, it is a wicked world in all meridians; I'll die a pagan."
