Is it just me or does the rear end of that look out of proportion height wise with the front?

        Either way, I love it

Oh, and what jets are you using with the stacks and no baffles and did you shim your needles?

                here's mine...

She's a '79 GS425E and a work in progress. Got her from a local guy for $400 and plan to register and ride this year. My first bike really. Pulls real nice...

                    mine

Had this one for a while. Going to swap out the bars, get some shorter turn signals and maybe black out the chrome. I have removed the rack and windshield.

Here is the exact 1979 425L I drove in high school, got it from my dad with almost no miles. I am hoping to keep it as stock as possible...but the bars are not my favorite, who knows. One of the side covers is cracked so hope I can find an exact replacement!

How bad is the crack? If it's not rally bad a little carefuly applied acetone should weld it back together.

1985 Stock as can be, looking at installing some crash bars or figuring out a way to make sum highway pegs work. 2,786 original miles. Was thinking about going smaller on some custom led signals for the front & rear but then again I wanna be seen not run over but yet it bothers me having those mickey mouse ears sticking out!

It was already welded together once, but the tabs on top are the issue, one is barely there and the other is gone. That along with the cracked area on lower part where it goes into frame grommet. It works, but I have a feeling its only a matter of time before I lose it in the wind haha. I might try and give it another go with some jb weld or similar.

500 engined 450 if that makes sense ????

GS 500 engine in a 450 frame, frame and wheels is the only thing left now from the 1980 gs 450, rest is off different bikes or bespoke
fabrications. Very pleased with it only had it on the road about a month took 3 years to build mostly due to lack of funds, but now its finished im really pleased it pulls like a train handles fairly well for them tyres, theres a few things i want to change but for now i'm enjoying the rides
