Head Gasket Orientation: Which Side Up or Down? 450 OEM
'80 GS450, New OEM Gasket. Two sides are different, but which is which? Nothing printed on it to indicate (just some white crap on one side). Different from the one I took off, so I can't tell that way either.

IMO, I think the bottom one is facing up. The copper (?) rings around the cylinders are facing up so it will seal the to the aluminum head. -
To be honest I don't think it matters. All oil ports have o-rings so....Comment
