What the deal with valve shims?!

Valve shims are off topic? Because I have to adjust my valves. And because I followed newbie suggestions and searched for answers before starting a new thread. Old information isn't old when your bike is older.

I applaud your attempt to use the search function, but the purpose of doing so is not to find an old thread to ask your question on, its to find your answer so there is no need to duplicate information. In addition, the topic of this thread was on the purpose of valve shims, not the steps to adjust them (or anything to do with gas guzzling).

In this situation, if you cannot find the information you seek, you are encouraged to start your own thread with all the specific information pertaining to your problem.
