82 GS850GL Head Swap

Hello All,

Will a head off a 82 GS850G fit a 82 GS850GL motor? PO stripped the Cam cap screws, heli coiled them and they seam OK. Got a head avail for $50.00 so I am considering a swap.

Yes, it's the same part number, 11100-45121 superseded by 11100-45120. Swap away!

Yep!

In fact, you can use the head from any 80-83 GS850 on any other 80-83 GS850. The only difference is the number of bolts in the valve cover, so you just need to get the correct valve cover along with the cylinder head.

Also, make sure you use only Suzuki gaskets. Athena and Vesrah kits are garbage, and the Cometic head gasket is also garbage.
