    GS850 Engine

    Hi All.

Could you tell me if an Engine out of a 1979 GS850 would fit into the frame of a 1982 GS1100.

    Regards.

    Chris.

Might need to adapt the mounting tabs a bit, but yes, it will fit.

Assuming you're talking about a shaftie 1100G/GL/GK, yes.

The carbs, airbox, ignition, throttle assembly, and driveshaft are all different, so you'd also need these parts from the donor bike.
