Chef, It's a little difficult to see in your pic. Just to confirm the dog is the dark block on the side of the top gear and the rounding of concern is on the vertical outer leading edge, if its rotating clockwise? The dog in your photo seems to be rounded along the top horizontal edge as well.
Does the rounding in the pics I posted worry you? On my gear it seems to be a small nick on the lower 1/2 of the leading edge.

As long as you still have a ledge and have not worn out the squared edge.
I took over ten pics and only had on come out decent.
